Mcintosh hall opened in 1956 as an all male residence for 100 students. A floor was refurbished in. Other facilities offered at the property include a vending machine. Free wifi access is available throughout the property.

It was the last remaining all male residence hall on campus until 1998 when it went coed by floor. Mcintosh is a catered hall and is renowned for the quality of its food. It includes single and double rooms as well as a two bedroom single sex or coed apartment for four students. It is one of three halls of the same design on denali lane. The student committee is active and accessible and arranges a variety of student led social events throughout the year including hall quizzes sports events beach games and more.

Due to the fact that mcintosh used to be several different buildings with different floor plans a floor is shorter than any other floor and has rumours of being haunted.
