Maytag front load washer door locked at install if you have unboxed your front load washer to find that the door is locked and you are unable to open it please review the following instructions.

It s possible the drain hose extends more than 4 5 114 mm into the standpipe.
Run a drain and spin cycle.
The top panel will then pull straight back up and off.

My maytag series 2000 front loader washer made a loud bang the other night and the machine was unplugged but the door remained locked.
What happened just before your maytag washer displayed this message.
Now you can reach down to the bottom of the door latch where there is a 1 round plastic tab.
What code is e2 f3.
Some will fill with the lid open but will not advance if the lid remains open.
When using one of these cycles the door will remain locked until the cancel button is pushed.

Reconnect power to washer plug in.
Without a model number i can t give you a specific answer but if you have a maytag mah style front load washer the door can be unlocked by pulling the release cord located in the dispenser area.
Wait approximately 2 minutes for control to reset.
The door is also locked.
You will have to remove the dispenser bezel trim to access the cord to pull it to open the locked door.
If f8 e1 or lf too long to fill appears in the display the washer is taking too long to fill or the washer is filling and draining.
Some models have lights on the console which show when the lid is locked.
The washer will drain after 10 minutes if the lid remains open.

Pull on this tab to manually unlock the door.
If the washer will not unlock at the end of a wash cycle unplug the washer or disconnect power.
If the washer does not unlock at the end of a wash cycle unplug the appliance or disconnect power.
Pausing the wash cycle is how it can be disabled.
Plug the appliance into a grounded 3 pronged outlet per the installation instructions.
